Your examination may include the use of: the Marco TonoRef II Autorefractor/Tonometer, an instrument that assists in diagnosing corneal disease, in fitting of complex contact lenses, confirming candidacy for Laser Vision surgery, and measuring the internal pressure of the eye -to aid in the diagnosis of glaucoma; the Carl Zeiss/Meditec Humphrey Field Analyzer 3, which helps detect and diagnose neurological and optic nerve conditions, as well as glaucoma, trauma, stroke, and brain lesions; the DGH Ultrasonic Pachymeter which measures corneal thickness and assists in diagnosing glaucoma and confirming the eligibility for Laser Vision correction; the Marco/Nidek TRS-5100 Electronic Refractor - an advanced instrument that further refines the refracting process yielding even more precise eyeglass prescriptions; the Marco Ultra Biomicroscope with IDoc digital image and video capture to record and document anomalies (e.g. eyelid tumors, corneal dystrophies, pigmentary changes, etc.) of the anterior segment of the eye; and last, but certainly not least, the Optos Optomap Daytona, a revolutionary Ultra-Wide Laser Retinal Scanning System that helps us view more than 80% of your retina in one panoramic image and digitally record internal ocular pathology, including retinal tears and detachments, optic nerve disease (e.g. glaucoma, optic neuritis and tumor), macular degeneration and vascular disease (e.g. high cholesterol, diabetes, and high blood pressure) and allow us to monitor change over time...all, WITHOUT the use of dilation drops. |

Insurance Plans
We are in-network providers for VSP and can provide an itemized receipt for patients to bill Medicare and other insurances on their own. We are now various providers of MetLife Vision, and MetLife Vision Access plans as well as various Cigna plans through VSP. Check with our staff if you have other types of coverage.
